The City is now forming a Historical Society. If interested in becoming a member, please call Debbie at (734) 642-7292. We are also collecting old photos and history. We will make copies of all items submitted and return to provider.
The Gibraltar Rotary Club
The Gibraltar Rotary Club meets every Wednesday Morning at the Mirage Restaurant at 7:30a.m. Dues are $30.00 per month. Membership is open to anyone wishing to assist with service projects in support of our community. The Gibraltar Rotary Club sponsors programs such as the Kid's Halloween Party, Miss Gibraltar, Educational Scholarships, and uniforms and equipment for a Little League team. It is also a past year sponsor of the Circus in town, the tree lighting in December, and many more programs and projects. This year, the club will be sponsoring the Kelly-Miller Circus at Parsons School in August. For more information, please call (734) 362-8427.
The Rotary Club continues to take reservations for an engraved brick for a "Brick Path" at the New Municipal Complex. Cost is $100 per brick. You can have individual names or family names engraved. A paver request form is available at City Hall. Stop by the Flag Pole at City Hall to see the engraved bricks already installed.
Educational scholarships are offered by the Gibraltar Rotary Club and applications may be submitted by any Gibraltar resident under 21 years of age. The student must be graduating from high school this year and have a grade point average of 3.0 or above and show a letter of acceptance into a university, college, or trade school. Forms are available at the City Hall and the Gibraltar Community Center. Deadline for entries is April 21. For more information, please call (734) 671-1466.
On Saturday, March 25, the Gibraltar Rotary Club will sponsor a Muskrat Dinner to be held at the Gibraltar Community Center. For tickets or more information, please call (734) 692-0880.

Girl Scouts, Brownies, and Cadets
Girl Scouts, Brownies, and Cadets are big in Gibraltar. So big they have their own website at http://www.geocities.com/nsu1gib. If your daughter is interested in a fun-filled, learning experience, please contact your neighborhood chairperson at (734) 676- 2511.
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are also large in numbers. Scouting starts with the Tiger Cubs to Webelos in Cub Scouting to Tenderfoot to the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boys Scouts. The Boy Scouts take many camping outings yearly. Information for Cub Scouts (734) 671- 0938, Boy Scouts (734) 782- 0701.

Gibraltar Firefighters Association
Gibraltar Firefighters Association is part of the City Fire Department, they do many projects and offer programs such as Open House every October, and supports the local Boy Scout Troop in town, and in the past has sponsor a little league team. The Firemen are well trained and offer great dedicated service to the community. Paid per call Firefighters are needed, application at City Hall and Police Station. Information (734) 676-3167.
The City Beautification Commission
The City Beautification Commission always needs volunteers both men and women. The Commission plans the projects and also does the work. All of the plants, flowers, decorating by the lighthouse, bridges, at the corner of Middle Gibraltar Road, are all the work that the commission put together. The City Recreation Commission
The City Recreation Commission always needs members for their input and direction of the City's Recreation programs for both children and adults. Interested persons can obtain an application at City Hall or for further information call (734) 676-3900.
